Emily is a former player of Northern Steel and enjoys the opportunity to serve the club that fostered her love of soccer.

She is the Director of Goalkeeping for Northern Steel and a head coach since 2014. She holds both USSF and USC (former NSCAA) licenses. Karr is currently the Head Coach at North Catholic High School; in 2019 the program won its 1st WPIAL Title. She is also a former Assistant Coach at Point Park University and Mars High School.

Emily played at Allegheny College as a 4-year starter and holds single-season and career shutout records.

As a coach, Emily prioritizes player development and providing a positive learning environment for players.
